What recourse do you have against libelous tweets and unflattering Facebook posts? If your organization or your clients need to better understand and manage those risks while making the most of your Social Media strategy, join us for The Legal of Social, our February SMCRVA event featuring local attorney Chris Gatewood. Chris will share his legal perspective on this controversial topic and offer tips for making the most of your company's Social Media strategy.
Chris Gatewood is a Lawyer of intellectual property, media/entertainment, and employment law, with the firm of Hirschler Fleischer here in Richmond. He has written on SM topics for ZDNet, Sitepoint.com, and Richmond Grid magazine. Chris has also presented on SM legal and marketing aspects to several Virginia lawyers' groups and at VCU's da Vinci Center. You can follow him on Twitter @gatewood5000.
This is going to be a really great event. Not only do we have Chris presenting a topic that will be of great interest, but we are being hosted at Richmond's newest event space, The Rhythm Hall at Centerstage. The event will follow our usual format (networking, presentation, networking) and will kick off at 6:00pm on Thursday, February 18.
The admission will include the presentation and catered food. A cash bar will also be available during the event.
